Craig Williams’ recent dominance of the Victorian racing scene continued in stellar fashion on Thursday, the hoop riding a perfect quartet at Sale.
After moving 11 winners clear on the Melbourne premiership table with a Sandown treble on Wednesday, Williams was not letting up on Thursday – making every ride a winner as each of Smart Elissim ($4.40), Cochada ($1.60), Miss Pandanus ($2.25) and Behave ($5.50) duly saluted.
It is just the latest instalment of Williams going big on a race card of late – having chalked up what is believed to be an all-time first when riding six winners on a Melbourne card when completing a stunning sextet at Flemington on Winter Finals Day last Saturday.
His other multi-winner days recently were another Sandown treble earlier in July, and a Moonee Valley double on June 27.
Williams’ quartet took his tally to 95 winners this season, 62 of those at metro level.
