Today I’m riding at Ballarat. The rail is out four metres and the track is rated in the soft range.

Race 1 is the Ballarat Antenna Solutions Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate over 1200 metres, my ride here is SAIF who is trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes. This gelding by Pride Of Dubai is having his first race start and this will be my first time riding him. I’ve watched replays of his recent jumpouts at Flemington, in his first jumpout he was beaten by Anamoe, who won the Merson Cooper and yesterday finished second in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude for colts and geldings. In his most recent jumpout, he was ridden in behind horses to give him further education before his first start. He looks to be a strong horse that moves well and I’m looking forward to having my first ride on him. If he runs up to his jumpout efforts he will take a lot of beating today.
