Glen Thompson has identified the Group 1 Empire Rose Stakes as the primary target for Benagil this spring, with the Australasian Oaks winner returning to the jump outs last week.

Mr Brightside has become the first male horse to win three successive Group 1’s at Flemington with his all-the-way victory in the Makybe Diva Stakes.

The nine-time Group 1 winner will do what no male horse has achieved if he again wins the $750,000 event.
