Buckaroo returns for a second tilt at the Lexus Melbourne Cup, in arguably even better form than last year which saw him cover a lot of ground after drawing wide and settling near last as $6 favourite. Whilst he hasn’t won this preparation, he tested Via Sistina all the way in the Cox Plate, which has provided six Lexus Melbourne Cup winners this century well above market expectation. Still needs to tick the 3200m box but draws much better this year and has the class to win.
