After a two-year absence from the winner’s circle, Farhh Flung finally broke through in determined fashion, edging out King’s Valley in a thrilling finish. Trained by Danny O’Brien, the gelding showed plenty of heart to hold off his rival in the closing stages, rewarding patient connections with a well-earned victory.
The win marks Farhh Flung’s first since 2021, snapping a long-running drought and showcasing his enduring competitiveness. Ridden confidently, he settled nicely in the run before producing a strong kick down the straight, just doing enough to deny the fast-finishing King’s Valley.
Trainer Danny O’Brien praised the horse’s resilience and his team’s persistence: “He’s had his share of ups and downs, but we’ve stuck by him, and it’s great to see him back in the winner’s stall.”
With this breakthrough performance, Farhh Flung may have turned a corner and could be set for a productive spring campaign.
