Today I’m riding at Sale. The rail is in the true position and the track is rated in the good range.

Race 5 is the Programmed Property Services Fillies & Mares BM64 Handicap over 1200 metres, my ride here is ZACOUVER (NZ) who is trained by Leon & Troy Corstens. This three-year-old filly by Vancouver has had four starts for a record of one win and a second placing, with both of those efforts being when she was a two-year-old last preparation and I rode her when she won at Sandown over 1200 metres on heavy ground. She resumed this preparation last start at Flemington where she was beaten by over 15 lengths, which was the first disappointing run she has put in throughout her short career. Hopefully it was a forgive run and she can return to her previous form today with the blinkers being added to her head gear for the first time. If the blinkers have the desired outcome and she bounces back form wise, she will be very competitive in this.

Race 6 is the Sale Signtorque BM58 Handicap over 1100 metres, my ride here is TARCOOLA DIVA who is trained by Gemma Rielly. This three-year-old filly by Cluster runs in the colours of Ken Williams Tarcoola Stud. She’s had seven starts for a win and second placing and has contested really strong races throughout her career with the form around her being very impressive. She is racing first-up today and based on her previous form she should be too good for this field in BM58 grade.
