This evening I’m riding at Pakenham for the night meeting. The rail is out six metres and the track is rated in the good range.

Race 3 is the Superior Food Services Fillies and Mares Maiden Plate over 1200 metres, my ride here is PITCHANUN (NZ) who is trained by Danny O’Brien. This daughter of Savabeel is raced by Robert Anderson. She is lightly raced having had one start which was in October of last year where she finished fourth and less than five lengths from the winner. She is resuming this evening and I’ve ridden her in her most recent jumpout at Flemington on the course proper in preparation for her return to the races. I felt she jumped-out very well and if she brings that form to the races she will be very competitive in this maiden.
